Oxford Business Action Group is petitioning Oxfordshire County Council

DO NOT REMOVE FREE ON-STREET PARKING OUTSIDE THE SUMMERTOWN SHOPS

Oxfordshire County Council have issued a report which includes Re-Imagining Oxford’s Streets. 

To quote the survey issued by the county council, there is the "potential removal of service road" outside the Summertown shops to allow for more pedestrian space. For local people,  however, this would mean the removal of the valuable 'stop and shop' 30 minute customer parking. 

This would be severely detrimental to local businesses, their customers, employment and community. 61 of 62 Summertown businesses have said they want to keep the parking.

A council survey to seek residents’ views closed on 23rd March. A full report, including public feedback will be published by them later this spring.
