📢 PETITION: Establish a National Commission on Electoral Reform! 📢
Our democracy is broken. First Past the Post (FPTP) distorts election results, silences millions of voters, and fuels public distrust in politics. The system is failing the people it’s meant to serve. We need change. And we need it now.
We, the undersigned, call on the UK government to establish a National Commission on Electoral Reform - an independent body to investigate and recommend the best voting system for our country.
The National Commission would combine the best aspects of a Royal Commission and a Citizens’ Assembly, ensuring that ordinary people drive the process while benefiting from the best expert advice from the UK and around the world.
A National Commission on Electoral Reform will:
✅ Be independent and non-partisan – free from political interference and committed to the public good.
✅ Involve experts and everyday people – combining academic research with real-world experience.
✅ Study what works best globally – learning from successful voting systems worldwide.
✅ Ensure the government responds – producing a clear action plan for reform, not another worthy report destined to gather dust on a shelf.
🚨 The time for action is now. We need a democracy where every vote counts, and where the seats in Parliament reflect the way people actually vote.
Join the growing movement demanding a fairer, more democratic future. Sign the petition today and help us push for real electoral reform! ✍️
