Resurrect Ronnie & Roxy Mitchell

As an EastEnders’ fan myself, We all understood the argument that there is only so much misery people can chuck at Ronnie and Roxy – but was there a need to hit that point home with the most miserable death possible, both accidentally drowning on a Ronnie’s wedding day. 

The Mitchell sisters were era defining in EastEnders and will go down in history as some of the most memorable characters – and one of the most pointless deaths. If they needed to give Ronnie and Roxy a break from the misery, write them out for a couple of years then bring them back, raring to go. Imagine her and Roxy with the current Mitchells and Jack . Imagine Roxy’s input when Sean Slater returned. 

They were characters that had a lot of story and mileage to give – the whole blunt tragedy of their death just made it even harder to bear, they didn’t even go out in a Bonnie and Clyde blaze of glory but an ‘oh crap my dress is too heavy’ swimming pool calamity. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
